Ekavi sits right on the sea at Sfakaki, 15 minutes from Rethymno. After years in a harsh marine environment, the existing hotel had to be upgraded to the standards of a modern four-star property.
The whole hotel was redesigned with a single architectural identity. Rooms increased from 49 to 59; the pool, pool bar and all outdoor areas were reshaped, and cantilevers were added to twelve older rooms so every guest has outdoor space. Accessibility was improved throughout.
Structurally, the frame received steel reinforcement; new roof waterproofing and insulation plus thermal insulation on every façade transformed its energy performance. The highlight is the pool deck — built-in daybeds with uninterrupted views to the sea.
